<p>A metal-graphite brush (1) for supplying electricity to a coil (17) wound around a core (9) provided at a rotor (2) of a motor (10) includes a sintered material (22) having pores (19) at a surface of the sintered material and in the sintered material. The surface of the sintered material serves as a sliding surface (32) sliding along a sliding surface of a commutator (8) to which the coil is electrically connected for supplying electricity. The metal-graphite brush further includes an emulsion (34) containing a liquid (35), which vaporizes corresponding to a temperature rise of the sliding surface while the sliding surface is sliding along the sliding surface of the commutator during an operation of the motor, and a solvent, which has a boiling point higher than that of the liquid, and into which the liquid is dispersed as liquid particles, in the pores.</p> |
