An ink-jet image forming apparatus is provided to perform wiping and capping in short time by moving a wiper and a cap member at the same time, and to minimize the size of the apparatus due to a short transforming distance for capping and wiping. In an ink-jet image forming apparatus, a line ink-jet head(10) has a nozzle part(11). A cap member(40) has a side wall covering the nozzle part. A cap supporting part(61) has a wiper for wiping the nozzle part and forms a floor of the cap member. A rotation member(60) has a print location for printing, a rotating section for cleaning the nozzle part with the wiper, a stopping location for facing the cap supporting part to the cam member, and a capping location for accessing to the nozzle part to cap the nozzle part together with the cam member at the stopping location.
