A brushless DC motor for a drum-type washing machine is provided to easily install and fix a magnet to an inner periphery of a rotor frame by forming the magnet in an integral ring shape. A brushless DC motor includes a rotor having a magnet installed on an inner periphery of a rotor frame(53a) so that the rotor is rotated by interaction of a coil(42b) wound around a stator core(42a). The magnet installed on the inner periphery of the rotor frame is formed in a ring shape. The magnet is made through injection molding, and an adhesive is applied on an outer periphery of the magnet is adhered to the inner periphery of the rotor frame. A stepped portion is formed on the inner periphery of the rotor frame to prevent the magnet from being released.
