BANDWIDTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR QUALITY OF SERVICE IN VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCAL NETWORK

A bandwidth management system for ensuring QoS in a VoIP network and a method thereof are provided to dynamically set a bandwidth during a VoIP call service and connect a requested call through a legacy trunk of an IP-PBX(Private Branch eXchange) when the bandwidth exceeds a bandwidth limit, thereby ensuring the QoS as more efficiently using the bandwidth. A bandwidth management system for ensuring QoS(Quality of Service) in a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) network comprises the followings: a call controller(100) for providing usage bandwidth information used when setting or releasing a call; and a bandwidth manager(210) for transmitting changed available bandwidth information to the call controller(100) by resetting a bandwidth when the usage bandwidth information is provided from the call controller(100). The call controller(100) processes a newly-generated call according to the available bandwidth information transmitted in real time from the bandwidth manager(210).
