HIERARCHICAL ROUTING METHOD OVER 6LOWPAN

摘要

A hierarchical routing method on an IPv6 over LoWPAN is provided to perform the hierarchical routing by applying a 16 bit short address which is dynamically assigned, thereby significantly reducing overheads required for maintaining a routing table. A routing method in an IPv6 over LoWPAN(Internet Protocol version 6 over Low power Wireless Personal Area Networks), LoWPAN, and sensor network, comprises the following steps of: detecting a neighbor node by a scanning process(S2,S3); assigning addresses through association with the neighbor node(S5); managing a neighbor table and a routing table(S6,S7); and forwarding a packet by searching the next hop node according to a predetermined process when the packet is received(S8,S9).
