<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a toner and a developer capable of preventing the occurrence of image defects when an alternating electric field is applied in a noncontact state and development is carried out and to provide an image forming method using the toner and the developer. CONSTITUTION: Inorg. fine particles are added to colored particles and they are screened and separated in a magnetic field to produce the objective toner. In the objective developer consisting of a toner and a carrier, the vol. average particle diameter of the toner is 1-10 times that of the carrier and <=5 magnetic particles having <=10<6>Ωcm resistivity are contained in 100g of the toner. The space between a photoreceptor and a developer carrier is made larger than the thickness of a developer layer by >=10μm and an image is formed with the developer.</p> |
