A PORTABLE APPARATUS FOR GENERATING HYDROGEN

A portable hydrogen generating apparatus is provided to perform the selective contact reaction between catalyst and fuel solution during a long period. An end portion of a reaction pipe(60) is immersed into the fuel solution as much as a predetermined length. A catalyst(62) is equipped at the inside of the reaction pipe in order to be contacted with the fuel solution and generates hydrogen. A solenoid valve(64) controls the pressure at the inside of the reaction pipe so that the fuel solution and the catalyst are selectively contacted. A ground pipe(70) is equipped between the reaction pipe and the fuel tank and maintains the internal pressure of the fuel tank at the atmospheric pressure constantly.
