An apparatus and a method for synchronizing an audio/video signal are provided to synchronize wired transmission stream and wireless transmission stream by controlling an output time of a transmission stream at a bit buffer. In an apparatus for synchronizing an audio/video signal, a transmission stream creating part(400) creates transmission streams from a compressed data. A transmission network cluck generating part(410) outputs a transmission network cluck value from a counted cluck value. A synchronizing cluck stamping part(420) inserts the transmission network cluck value in the transmission streams. A first communication interface unit(430) transmits outside the transmission stream which the synchronizing cluck stamping part(420) outputs. A second communication interface unit(440) receives the transmission streams which the first communication interface unit(430) transmits. A time interval controller(450) controls an interval between the transmission streams which the second communication interface unit(440) receives. A decoding part(460) extracts a compressed data from the time interval controlled transmission stream to decode the compressed data. |
