<p>A location registration/originating method of an MEID terminal in a mobile communication network are provided to store an MEID and a p-ESN corresponding to the MEID in an HLR and enable the HLR to transmit the MEID to an exchange and a BSS through a wired route in a location registration/originating process of the MEID terminal, thereby improving the reliability and speed of message processing and accomplishing stability of the system through security reinforcement in accordance with the use of a wired section. A location registration method of an MEID(Mobile Equipment Identifier) terminal in a mobile communication network comprises the following steps. The MEID terminal transmits a location registration message, in which an IMSI(International Mobile Station Identity) and a p-ESN(pseudo-Electronic Serial Number) are included, to a BSS(Base Station Subsystem)(S101). The BSS receives the location registration message from the MEID terminal and transmits the IMSI and the p-ESN to an exchange through a REGNOT(Registration Notification)(S102). The exchange receives the REGNOT(IMSI, p-ESN) from the BSS and transmits the message to an HLR(Home Location Register) through a VLR(Visitor Location Register)(S103). The HLR receives the REGNOT through the VLR and sends a REGNOT(IMSI, MEID) message, in which the IMSI and an MEID are included, to the exchange through the VLR when the MEID corresponding to the p-ESN normally exists(S104). The exchange receives the REGNOT(IMSI, MEID) message and transmits a location update receiving message to the BSS(S105). The BSS receives the location update receiving message from the exchange and transmits a registration check message to the MEID terminal(S106).</p> |
