<p>Aluminum wrought alloy comprises element(s) of first group, e.g. tin, antimony, indium, and/or bismuth (less than or equal to4.5 wt.%); element(s) of second group, e.g. copper, manganese, cobalt, chromium, zinc, magnesium, silicon, and/or iron (less than or equal to8.5, preferably 3.5 wt.%); scandium and/or zirconium (less than or equal to0.8 wt.%); and aluminum and impurities (balance). Aluminum wrought alloy comprises an aluminum matrix incorporating soft phase(s) and hard particles. The soft phase comprises element(s) from a first group, e.g. tin, antimony, indium, and/or bismuth. The hard particles comprise scandium and/or zirconium, and element(s) from a second group, e.g. copper, manganese, cobalt, chromium, zinc, magnesium, silicon, and/or iron, or inter-metallic phases of scandium, zirconium with aluminum or aluminum with the elements from the second group. The alloy comprises elements of the first group (less than or equal to4.5 wt.%), elements of the second group (less than or equal to8.5, preferably 3.5 wt.%), scandium and/or zirconium (less than or equal to0.8 wt.%), and aluminum and impurities (balance). An Independent claim is also included for a bearing element (1), e.g. plain bearing or thrust ring, comprising a protective shell (2), a running layer (4), and a base layer (3) disposed between the protective shell and running layer. The base layer is made from the above aluminum alloy and is disposed directly on the protective shell.</p> |
