A wireless communication terminal having an infrared ray capturing function is provided to enable a user to secretly capture an image with a clear picture quality in the dark due to capturing the single colored image with shade by using an infrared flash. A wireless communication terminal having an infrared ray capturing function comprises an inputting unit(11), an infrared ray discharging unit(12), an infrared ray capturing unit(13), a storage unit(14) and a controller(15). The inputting unit(11) enables a user to set an infrared ray capturing mode. The infrared ray discharging unit(12) discharges the infrared ray. The infrared ray capturing unit(13) captures an image by using an infrared ray discharged via an infrared flash and an infrared ray discharged from a subject. The storage unit(14) stores the infrared ray image captured by the infrared ray capturing unit(13). The controller(15) controls each component such that the wireless communication terminal discharges the infrared ray according as the infrared ray capturing mode is set, captures a single colored image with shade by using the infrared ray discharged by the infrared ray discharging unit(12) and the subject, and stores the captured image.
