Processing machine and method for operating this machine

The machine has a controlling device (18) with a printing unit between cylinders and a plate cylinder (10) that is driven by an individual drive (M). The controlling device forms a coupling (15) between one of the cylinders and the plate cylinder of the printing unit or a sheet guiding cylinder and a mould cylinder. The controlling device momentlessly switches the individual drive of the plate cylinder or the mould cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a processing machine e.g. printing or varnishing machine.
