An elastic spring for a slim type slide module is provided to reduce a space between a fixed plate mounted on a main body of a portable and a movable plate mounted on a cover, thereby minimizing the thickness of the slide module and easily making a slide portable phone slim. In an elastic spring(300) used for a slide module where a movable plate mounted on a cover slides up/down on a fixed plate mounted on a main body of a portable phone, the elastic spring comprises the followings: a bending unit(330) having a circular arc shape; and spiral units(310,320) each bent at both ends of the bending unit(330). The spiral units(310,320) are respectively combined with a fixed plate and a movable plate, and generate elastic restoration force while the movable plate slides on the fixed plate.
