Exhaust gas recirculation system has an inlet line (44) which is connected with the outlet line (46) through the bypass line (50) passing over the cooling unit (42). The valve (56) and the auxiliary pump are arranged on the exhaust gas recirculation line (40) and the bypass line. The pump is arranged in the exhaust gas recirculation line and the valve and the auxiliary pump are arranged in the bypass line.
