<p>Leak-tightness of the control valve (12) is indicated by a signal from the sensor (18). A safety shut-off valve (17) is built into the gas line (11) downstream of the first measurement point (19) of the sensor (18). Should the control valve (12) be leaky, this is inferred and the control unit reverts to a safe state. In this state, ignition of the gas burner (10) is blocked. When it is detected that both the control valve and the safety shut-off valve are gas-tight, the controller permits ignition of the gas burner.</p> |
