A plasma display panel is provided to prevent generation of noise between a front panel and a rear panel by forming a second barrier rib which is higher than a first barrier rib. A first barrier rib(412) is used for defining a plurality of discharge spaces. A second barrier rib(413) does not cross the first barrier rib. A part of the second barrier rib is higher than the first barrier rib. The second barrier rib is formed at one of an edge, a corner, and a center of a rear panel(410). The supporting rigidity of the second barrier rib is stronger than the supporting rigidity of the first barrier rib. A damping unit is installed on the second barrier rib in order to absorb noise.
