A gas insulated circuit breaker is provided to shorten an arc generation time by simultaneously contacting or releasing a drive-side main contactor and a driven-side main contactor through a link connected to a nozzle, and by rapidly separating arc contact between the drive-side main contactor and the driven-side main contactor. A gas insulating circuit breaker includes a link mechanism connected between a nozzle(50) and a second movable main contactor(52) for supplying a linear driving force to the second movable main contactor, a second lever(64) having one end shifted between a position contacting the link mechanism and a position separated from the link mechanism, and a second movable arc contactor having one end contacting the other end of the second lever. The link mechanism has a first link(56) connected to the nozzle and linearly moved in the same direction as the nozzle, a second link(58) moved in a direction opposite to the first link, and a first lever(60) rotated around a fixed rotation shaft. The second lever is shorter than the first lever so that the second movable arc contactor is quickly moved than the second movable main contactor.
