An operational structure of a reverse malfunction preventing device in a manual transmission of a vehicle is provided to improve shift sense in a gear selecting process by removing an operation of a return spring. A stopper plate is installed at a malfunction preventing unit(20) of a transmission housing(10) in order to be connected with a stopper pin of the malfunction preventing unit. The malfunction preventing unit is not operated by removing an operation of a return spring while a control finger(30) is selected to shift a present gear mode of a manual transmission to a fifth shift mode or a reverse shift mode. The stopper pin of the malfunction preventing unit is operated by the stopper plate of the transmission housing while the present gear mode of the manual transmission is shifted to the fifth shift mode.
