Provided is a biodegradable material, which is completely degraded when embedded in soil in a short time, contains no harmful ingredient causing environmental pollution, and has excellent moldability and durability. The biodegradable material comprises: 18-23 wt% of starch; 35-51 wt% of polylactic acid; 20-32 wt% of a filler; 1-3 wt% of a plasticizer; 2-5 wt% of a defoaming agent; and 3-5 wt% of cured fatty acid. The biodegradable material optionally further comprises at least one additive selected from an antioxidant, flame retardant, antibacterial/deodorizing agent and UV protecting agent. The biodegradable material is molded at a predetermined temperature under pressure to provide a container.
