A sliding type portable device having a touch inputting assistant unit is provided to enable a user to conveniently input data by selectively using a sliding type touch inputting assistant unit. A sliding type portable device having a touch inputting assistant unit comprises a main body(10), a slider(20) and a touch inputting assistant unit. The main body(10) includes the first information display unit. The slider(20) slides and opens/closes a certain portion of the first information display unit while facing the main body(10). The touch inputting assistant unit, installed between the main body(10) and the slider(20), slides over the first information display unit and opens or closes a certain portion of the first information display unit and enables a user to input wanted information at the first information display unit. According to the inputted content, either the first information display unit or the touch inputting assistant unit is selected.
