The wastebasket includes a container, and a transparent inner packing material that allows viewing of the contents inside the container. The wastebasket also includes sensors that detect the presence of metal, and that sends detection signal to a CPU for processing the weight and volume of contents inside the container. An alarm is released when a suspicious object, that surpasses the characteristic level calibration of the sensors, is detected inside the container. The alarm is supplied with power from an external power unit.
