A device and a method for providing EPG(Electronic Program Guide) of a digital TV are provided to supply EPG without channel tuning when a user wants to obtain EPG for a predetermined channel or all channels. A device for providing EPG of a digital TV includes a channel controller(500) for storing a channel map of broadcasting channels provided to the digital TV, and a tuner(100) for carrying out tuning channels stored in the channel controller after system initiation. A storage(300) parses and stores EPG information of the tuned channels. A controller(400) receives the channel data of the channel map from the channel controller and controls a display to display the same at user's EPG information request.
