An emergent hard disk eraser device and a method thereof are provided to instantly erase information stored in a hard disk if the stored information is accessed without permission of a legal user, thus the user's information does not leak even in a dramatic circumstance. An installer(110) divisively sets a system area and a buffer area in a hard disk area of a computer system, and reserves a data buffer area and an area for a meta information table, a system area information table, and a mapping table within the buffer area. An initializer/restorer(120) displays whether each cluster is protected within the system area at the system area information table, and initializes the data buffer area and the mapping table within the buffer area. If a position designated by a file system is displayed as being 'protective', a write operation processor(130) performs a write operation for the clusters in the data buffer area, and if the position is displayed as being 'non-protective', the processor(130) performs a write operation for the clusters at a position within the system area. If a value designated by the mapping table is in an initial state, a read operation processor(140) performs a read operation for the clusters at the position within the system area. If the designated value is not in the initial state, a current state backup unit(150) performs a write operation in the system area by reading cluster data in the data buffer area, and conducts initialization. If predetermined conditions are satisfied during system booting, an emergent eraser unit(160) erases the buffer area to merge the system area with the buffer area, and erases all of components.
