Provided is an emergency stairway structure with firewall for use in a multistory building, so as to prevent the spread of fire through emergency exits of a building. The emergency stairway structure comprises firewalls(70) along each stair of an emergency exit passage. At normal times, the firewall(70) is housed in a receiving groove, and falls down along guide bars in a fire, thereby creating a wall between upper stairs and lower stairs to minimize the spread of flame and toxic gases through an emergency exit. The firewall(70) is constituted by plural panels(71,71') which are rotatably fixed about a shaft(76), and a magnet(74) which makes sure that the firewall(70) remains fallen. The magnet(74) and the panel(71) are coupled by a linker(75) having grippers(75a).
