A sound quality tuning method in a car audio device is provided to realize the proper sound quality adequate to a replaced seat although a user replaces the seat within the car with another one. A driver selects an audio tuning menu among plural menus(S302). When the audio tuning menu is selected, a main control unit displays a screen for selecting a cloth seat or a leather seat through a touch screen(S304). The driver selects a kind of the one's own car seat(S306). When the driver selects the cloth seat, the main control unit reads the sound quality setting information corresponding to the cloth seat and sets the tuning of the output audio through an audio processor(S308).
