A valve for use in a sucker rod actuated fluid pump including a traveling va lve assembly and a standing valve assembly within which a vortex is believed to be created to draft the ball check valve from its seat during the stroke of the sucker rod and thereby increase the amount of petroleum fluids pumped to the surface during each stroke of the fluid pump.
