A sensor device and an operation method thereof are provided to reduce the size of data transmitted and received during the communication among at least one semiconductor device responding to an external input, by sensing contact or pressure inputted to the semiconductor device and connecting the semiconductor devices according to a daisy chain method. A sensor device comprises at least one semiconductor device(210) connected in series. In the semiconductor device, first sensing data is received from the prior semiconductor device if sensing is not detected, and then the first sensing data is outputted to a next semiconductor device. If the sensing is detected second sensing data is generated, and the first sensing data is added to the second sensing data and then the result is outputted to the next semiconductor device when the first sensing data is received from the prior semiconductor device. If the first sensing data is not received from the prior semiconductor device, the second sensing data is outputted to the next semiconductor device.
