A filter bag (200) for a fluid comprises first and second outer sheets (202, 204) forming a cavity. A filter (206) between said sheets divides said cavity into first and second chambers in communication with each other through said filter (206). Fluid inlet means (210) communicate with said first chamber for conducting fluid into said cavity. Fluid outlet means (212) communicate with said second chamber for conducting fluid out of said cavity. The said sheets (202, 204) and filter (206) are bonded together at a first peripheral bond (218) and only said sheets are bonded together at a second peripheral bond (220).
