The method involves setting a control variable (I) to a first calibration value (I1(Gb)) at a first calibration point (I1(Gb,p1(Gb)), spaced apart from the characteristic curve section (A). The value p1(Gb) of the controlled variable is measured at the first calibration point. The control variable is then set to a second calibration value at a second calibration point, spaced apart from the curve section and the first calibration point. The value p0(Gb) is measured at the second calibration point. A connecting line (Gb) between the first and the second calibration points is determined. The point of intersection (Px) at which the connecting line crosses the curve section (A) is determined. The second characteristic curve section (B) is defined as that part of the connecting line (Gb) that contains both calibration points. An Independent claim is included for controlling an automatic, electrically-controlled clutch in a motor vehicle. |
