A device to cut the tops and to clean the heads of roots consists of a vertical shaft, whereon a disk with gauge working elements, which is mounted horizontally or at angle to the horizontal line, is arranged. The disk is provided with knives and the gauge working elements as the hooks of rods with the cleaning working surfaces, fixed rigidly, hingedly attached thereto in such a manner as to allow rotating around the horizontal axis with the simultaneous counteraction of clamp straps.
