The method for diagnosing the state of arteriovenous malformations comprises the clinical examination, the angiography of the cerebral blood vessels and additionally transcranial dopplerography. When the glomus of the pathologic blood vessels is detected, the state of the cerebrovascular hemodynamics and in particular the state of the arteriovenous malformations is assessed by the changes in the linear blood flow rate in the separate blood vessels as well as the changes in the laminar pattern of blood flow and its redistribution between the hemispheres and the vascular basins. Finally, the tactics of the treatment is elaborated.
