The present invention is concerned with a multi-functional reversible paint tray lid adapted to be removably mounted on a top edge of a paint tray, said lid comprising, i) a first major face including a periphera l engaging member adapted for engaging a peripheral edge of a paint tray, and a plurality of cavities, at least one of which being adapted for receiving a portion of at least one paint accessory therein, and ii) a second opposite major fac e including at least one generally planar base portion adapted for stably supporting said lid on a generally flat horizontal supporting surface, with said first major face oriented upwardly and extending generally parallel to said supporting surface. In operation, the lid can selectively be placed in a fir st attitude suitable for substantial hermetic closing of a mouth of a paint tra y or be placed on a generally flat horizontal supporting surface, said first major face oriented upwardly, in a second attitude suitable for holding paint accessori es in a stable and fluid containing manner.
