#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves cooling purified compressed air. An air part (13) is cooled at its dew point, expanded in a valve (17) and sent to the bottom of a distillation column (21). A part (15) of the air is cooled and liquefied. The liquefied air is expanded in a valve (19) and is sent to the column. Oxygen rich liquid (25) is expanded in a valve (27) and sent to a head condenser (23) of the column. A vaporized liquid (31) is sent to an exchange line (9) and regenerates a purification unit (7).
