An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to readily attach and detach a front plate for dividing the outdoor unit into a compressor chamber and a front chamber. An outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes a main body case(10), a partition plate(26), and a front plate(28). The main body case is divided into a heat exchange chamber and a compressor chamber by the partition plate. The front plate divides the compressor chamber into upper and lower parts. The partition plate and the main body case have at least one hooking groove and coupling projection at their side surfaces. The front plate has a hooking projection and a coupling groove corresponding to the hooking groove and the coupling projection. The hooking projection has a hook part having a predetermined width, and a neck part extending between the front plate and the hook part and having a width smaller than that of the hook part. |
