<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fuel cell with little cross leak of fuel cells through reduction of damage and fall of a diffusion layer for the fuel cell and prevention of pinholes at manufacturing of a film electrode assembly as well a manufacturing method of a diffusion layer for the fuel cell with little damage nor fall of conductive fiber. <P>SOLUTION: At least either a diffusion layer for a fuel electrode or that for an oxidant electrode is manufactured by punching it from a sheet-shaped base material for a diffusion layer containing conductive fiber with the use of a double-edged blade 21. The diffusion layer is used for manufacturing of a film electrode assembly as well as of a fuel cell. The sheet-shaped base material for the diffusion layer containing the conductive fiber is placed on a sponge 9, on which, a blade-rest plate 8 made of polypropylene resin is placed. Afterwards, the blade-rest plate 8 is pressurized with a die 7 fixed to a die base not illustrated. The sheet-shaped base material for the diffusion layer descends together with the blade-rest plate 8, and is punched into a given shape with the double-edged blade 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
