PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of executing all the time a route search including a road desired by a user. SOLUTION: This navigation system for searching and guiding a route up to a destination, based on a road map data provided preliminarily is provided with a travel desiring road setting point assigning part 45 for assigning a point where the road desired to be used in the route search exists, a travel desiring road setting/changing part 47 for setting and changing a travel desiring road as to each of the assigned points, a travel desiring road registering part 48 for registering the assigned road in a prescribed storage means, while correlated with point information of assigning the road, a travel desiring road retrieving part 49 for retrieving the travel desiring road registered in the storage means together with the point information, in the route search, a travel propriety determining part 50 for determining the propriety of travel on the road, as to the retrieved travel desiring road, and a travel desiring road use selection part 51 for selecting the propriety of use of the travel desiring road.
