PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit reproduction side to perform normal reproduction, even when multi-channel is selectively transmitted by compression or non-compression or downmixing on the side of reproduction is selectively allowed or inhibited. SOLUTION: The ATSI includes a first identifier indicating whether the multi-channel data in an audio packet are compressed and a second identifier indicating whether a downmixing of the multi-channel data to stereo two channels is allowed or inhibited.
