PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone exchange device capable of protecting recording information within an internal memory without human intervention when exceeding storage capacity of the internal memory. SOLUTION: An external memory 3 is mounted in a slot 21 of a telephone exchange device 1, and in a file transfer control section 17, it is determined whether or not storage capacity of a storage section 15 exceeds an upper limit setting value.
