PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular sleep prevention system and a sleep prevention method that can prevent a driver's sleep easily and reliably without causing a cost increase. SOLUTION: If a wakefulness reduction detection part 11 of a control unit 10 detects a driver's wakefulness reduction, a motor drive control part 13 for controlling the drive of a fan motor 4 by PWM control sets the driving frequency of the fan motor 4 at a frequency resonant with a vehicle steering wheel to cause positive resonant vibration of the steering wheel.
