PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge structure and a mobile terminal capable of improving designability and drop strength while suppressing cost. SOLUTION: The boss part of an upper casing is connected to the boss part of a lower casing through a connection member, a general part, and an intermediate member mounted with a cap formed of an impact damping material is mounted on the connection member. Since holes in the boss parts are sealed by the impact damping material, even if the casing falls from the hinge part, impact can be sufficiently damped by the cap. As a result, design of the mobile terminal with the hinge part projected from the casing can be adopted while suppressing cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
