PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated member with a hard film having improved lubricating properties in particular and fusion resistance, by combining a hard film indispensably containing Al and Cr with a film superior in lubricity. SOLUTION: The coated member with the hard film comprises the bottom layer, an intermediate stacked layers section and the top layer sequentially formed from a substrate surface. The intermediate stacked layers section comprises a layer (A) and a layer (B) that are alternately stacked in a layer thickness direction and are formed from any of a nitride, a boride, a carbide and an oxide, a solid solution thereof or a mixture thereof, which contain metallic components expressed by (Al<SB>W</SB>Cr<SB>X</SB>Ti<SB>Y</SB>Si<SB>Z</SB>), (wherein the composition is expressed by atom%; and satisfies the equation of W+X+Y+Z=100). The layer (A) contains the metallic components so as to satisfy 70<W+X<100, and the layer (B) contains the metallic components so as to satisfy 30<Y<100.
