PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof coating composition capable of preventing contamination and discoloration of a fabric by transfer of dye and to provide a method for producing the coating composition. SOLUTION: The water proof coating composition comprises 0.08-0.5 pt.wt. alkali is further added to 100 pts.wt. of the main agent, in the waterproof coating composition containing at least one kind of material selected from polyacrylate, polyurethane and polysiloxane as a main agent and containing at least one kind of material selected from a crosslinking agent, a catalyst, a thickener and water as an auxiliary agent.
