PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for optical sold forming, capable of decreasing transparency without using any additive, and to provide a method for optical sold forming, which method uses the composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for optical sold forming comprises a cationically polymerizable resin (1), an energy ray-sensitive cationic polymerization initiator (2), a radically polymerizable resin (3) and an energy ray-sensitive radical polymerization initiator (4), and is selected to obtain≥0.01 absolute value of refractive index difference between a polymer (5) obtained by polymerizing the cationically polymerizable resin (1) by the energy ray-sensitive cation polymerization initiator (2) activated by photoirradiation and a polymer (6) obtained by polymerizing the radically polymerizable resin (3) by the energy ray-sensitive radical polymerization initiator (4) activated by photoirradiation.
