PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for a motorcycle which protects an occupant by an air bag that suppresses its enlargement even when the motor cycle collides in such a way to change the direction of the motorcycle before collision to its oblique direction. SOLUTION: An inflated air bag 11 is arranged at least on the front side of the waist W to restrain the waist W of the occupant D seated in a seat 7 when operated in the air bag device 10 for the motorcycle. A support material 47 for supporting the air bag 11 is arranged on the front side of the air bag 11 when inflation is completed. In addition a reinforcing belt 27 is used to suppress tensile force T1 applied to a mounting fixing part 11e on the rear surface 11d side of the air bag 11 when the occupant is restrained. The reinforcing belt 27 has an upper end 28 connected with the rear surface side of the air bag when inflation is completed and a lower end 29 connected with the rear side of the mounting fixing part 11e of the air bag 11.
