PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable upward movement of a headrest in the case of rear end collision without being accompanied by complication of constitution. SOLUTION: An approximately case shape body base 16 of a forming base of a headrest body 14 is liftably disposed and supported the a stay 12 through a slider 18 of the side axis part 12a, and an energizing means 20 is disposed so as to be able to upward energize the body base. The body base 16 can be held at a lower initial position against the energizing force of the energizing means 20 by locking a lock means 26 having a combination of a pendulum arm 32 integrally having a plummet 30, a lock plate 34 engaged with the pendulum arm, and a lock spring 36 energizing the pendulum arm in the lock plate direction, and the body base can be lifted upward to an upper projection position under the energizing force of the energizing means by releasing the lock due to the inertia-oscillation of the pendulum arm accompanied by an input of the shock load in case of the rear end collision.
