PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handpiece for dentistry capable of obtaining constant above-average therapy results without relying on the dentist's skill. SOLUTION: A first standard line (20) which is parallel to the central line (a) of a tool axis 13 and the second standard line (21) which is orthogonal to the first standard line are mounted on at least the left side face (12A) and the right side face (12B) of a head (12) of a handpiece (10) for dentistry to give lengthwise and crosswise standards when ivory or bones are drilled and cut by the first and second standard lines. The first and second standard lines is preferably set on the front side (12D) of the head, and the third and fourth standard lines (22, 23) extending to the directions which are orthogonal each other are preferably set on the top face side (12D) of the head.
