PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bristles for a toothbrush having high bending recoverability, crashworthy and brush durability, and to provide a toothbrush using this. SOLUTION: Each of the bristles 10 for the toothbruch has a core sheath structure provided with a core part 11 and two or more resin layers 12 coating the core part 11 in the state of a concentric circle. The core part 11 contains polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), and the outermost layer 13 of the resin layer 12 contains polyester-based resin excepting for the PTT. An intermediate layer 14 interposed between the outermost layer 13 of the resin layer 12 and the core part 11 prevents delamination of the outermost layer 13 and the core part 11.
