A foreign matter separating apparatus of a river dam is provided to prevent a river from being polluted due to wastes by capturing floating wastes and to easily collect and treat the floating wastes. A foreign matter separating apparatus of a river dam(20) comprises a cart receiving chamber formed at the inner side of the river dam installed across a river(27) to be opened at the upper side and to have a slope(26) on the bottom; a V-type net conveyer belt(30) installed at the upper side of the cart receiving chamber to capture floating wastes(24) and to move to a one-side waste throw chamber(28); plural net collecting carts(40) installed on the slope of the cart receiving chamber in a line to receive and contain the waste dropped from the net conveyer belt to the waste throw chamber; a caster(44) installed on the lower end of the net collecting cart to move the net collecting cart along the slope; a towing hook installed at the upper side of the net collecting cart; a drain port formed at the lower side of the river dam to drain river water from the cart receiving chamber to a downstream side(22); and foreign matter inducing plates(38a,38b) installed on both ends of the river dam to guide the floating wastes from both banks(21a,21b) of the river to the net conveyer belt. |
