A system and a method for managing information of a mobile terminal are provided to efficiently manage information for various kinds of mobile terminals by downloading execution programs and DB information from mobile terminals, without the necessity of installing all kinds of execution programs. The control part of a mobile terminal, if it is detected that a data cable is connected to an I/O port, waits for the input of a specific code for information transmission(S2). If the specific code is inputted(S4), the control part transmits a daemon program, stored in a daemon program storage part, to the I/O port so that the daemon program can be downloaded to a PC(S6). The downloaded daemon program is stored and installed in the PC. At this moment, the CPU of the PC confirms whether a daemon program having the same file name as the downloaded daemon program exists in a data storage part(S8). In case that the same daemon program exists, the CPU compares the version of the downloaded daemon program with the version of the previously stored daemon program in order to judge whether upgrading is required(S10,S12). If it is confirmed that upgrading is required, the CPU requests the mobile terminal to transmit DB information through the I/O port(S14).
