<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimp terminal capable of firmly fixing a core wire of a lead wire to a bottom wall and both side walls of a fixing part regardless of existence of lubrication oil, material quality of the crimp terminal or the like, capable of sufficiently restraining increase of electric resistance generated by a load of temperature cycle, and to provide a gas sensor which can sufficiently and accurately take out an output signal from a detecting part by using the crimp terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The crimp terminal 5 has a fixing part 5a that is extended to the axial line direction and that includes and fixes the core wire 16 of the lead wire 14. When a cross section of the fixing part 5a is observed in a direction perpendicular to axial line direction, the fixing part 5a has the bottom wall 5b and a pair of side walls 5c erected from the both edges of the bottom wall 5b. Furthermore, both distal end parts 5d are bent toward the bottom wall 5b side, and one of the distal end part 5d is contacted to the other tip region 5d. Especially, the outward face 5e of one of the distal end part 5d and the outward face 5e of the other distal end part 5d are contacted.
